116 pages of people, places and stories from the UK outdoors.

Go a little further. Stay a little longer.

Dayhike Step 2 goes deeper into the landscape, the community and the quieter reasons we keep going outside.

'The Soft Fascination of Long-distance Walking' explores the diverse beauty of the British coastline with Quintin Lake. Tom Garland uncovers the best hidden-gem hikes in Bannau Brycheiniog in 'The Footsteps of Glaciers'. Tom and Chloe Constable are 'Connecting People Through Wilder Nature,' taking action against climate change through a rewilding project in Wales. 'Still Made in Sheffield' delves into the legacy of a heritage brand hiding in plain sight. Photographer and filmmaker Alice Greenfield explores the UK's wild side in 'Finding Light in the Dark Season.' Brandon Hargrave shares the story behind making his roastery the UK's first zero single-use coffee roastery in 'The Weight of a Disposable Cup.' Artist Hester Aspland invites us into a world of 'Sketchbooks, Landscapes and Folktales,' drawing on the traditional stories woven into the natural world around us.

These stories and many more explore our relationship with nature and the actions we can take to protect the places where we find meaning and connection. Across the UK, people are carving their own paths through the outdoors, building communities, creating space and finding belonging. This issue is made for everyone: first-time walkers, seasoned hikers and everyone in between. You don't need to summit the biggest peaks to see yourself in these pages.

This magazine is an invitation to slow down, revisit these stories often and share them with a friend.
