Dayhike is a beautifully printed magazine celebrating the people, projects, and landscapes that make the UK outdoor scene so special. Each issue brings together personal stories, community features, creative work, and photography — all rooted in a love for spending time outside.
Inside you’ll find long-form articles, interviews, and visual features on everything from grassroots hiking groups and conservation efforts, to artists and makers inspired by the land. We focus on honest stories and overlooked places — the ones you don’t always see on social media.
Printed on uncoated, tactile paper with a clean, minimal design, Dayhike is made to be something you keep. Not a flick-through-and-forget, but a read, re-read, and share with a friend.

Subscribing today won’t charge you right away, and it doesn’t include a free copy of the current issue. Your first payment will be taken on the next release date — either 15th September, 15th January, or 15th May, depending on when you join. Check out our FAQs below for more info.

How does the Dayhike Magazine subscription work?
When you subscribe, there’s no upfront charge. Instead, you’ll only be billed on the day each issue is released. We’ll send you an email a few days beforehand to give you a heads-up — if you want to cancel, you can. If not, just leave it and your copy will be posted automatically. Payments are taken securely via our subscription platform.
When will I be charged?
You’ll only be charged on the day each issue is released — not before. You’ll get an email reminder a few days in advance so you’re never caught off guard.
What’s included in the subscription?
Each payment covers the print magazine and UK delivery. That’s it — no extras, no hidden fees. Just the magazine, made and printed with care.
How many issues will I receive each year?
We’re starting with our launch issue in September 2025. From 2026, we’re aiming for three magazines a year — one every four months (January, May, and September). If all goes to plan, we may move to a quarterly schedule in future.
Is shipping included?
Yes — UK shipping is included in the price. We use Royal Mail for all deliveries.
Can I buy a single issue without subscribing?
Yes. Single issues are available to purchase individually for £15, while subscribers receive each issue for £13.50.

Can I cancel my subscription?
Absolutely. You can cancel any time through your customer portal — no minimum commitment, no strings. You’ll find a link to manage your subscription in your confirmation email or through your account on our site.
What if my payment fails?
If we can’t process a subscription payment, you’ll get an email with a secure link to update your payment details.
Where do you ship to?
We currently ship to UK addresses only.
Who makes the magazine?
Dayhike Magazine is made by us — the Dayhike team. We handle the writing, interviews, and design ourselves, with help from a few brilliant collaborators (listed in the acknowledgements of each issue). Printing is handled by Manson Group, and fulfilment is managed by Newsstand.
What kind of content is inside?
Expect stories from the UK outdoor community — from grassroots mental health hiking groups to interviews with artists, tent-makers, and conservationists. We feature independent brands, outdoor culture, and places you might not yet know. It’s about the people, landscapes, and ideas shaping the outdoors in the UK.
